Victoria joined Us in a Bus in January 2016 as CEO, moving from a consultancy role. She has worked in a variety of roles – technical specialist, stakeholder management, regulatory affairs, journalism, consumer affairs and energy.
The CEO role covers a wide variety of areas of interest – strategy management, contributing to the fundraising effort, developing the management team, managing the resources of the organisation and painting the roof of reception to get rid of the mould amongst other things!
In previous roles, she has trained Detector dogs for the Australian Border Agency, been on the Marketing Board of Dulwich Picture Gallery and been Chairman of Brigitte Trust, a Dorking-based charity for people with a terminal illness. Victoria spent four years in Australia, working for the State Energy Regulator and having a career break to start a family. She has travelled extensively before and since. She has four degrees and openly admits to an Open University addiction. She lives in Dorking with her husband and 6 year old daughter and runs a micro-business, Mrs. Goody’s Goodies, selling jam, jelly and chutney.
