A BIG shout out to Matt and Ange Hancock who are riding the Dragon Ride L’Etape Wales on 11 June. Riding 140 miles in just 24 hours it is seen as the pinnacle of ‘sportive events’ in the UK.
Ange said “We have enjoyed cycling and have done a number of challenges over the last few years. The Dragon ride is one of the harder “must do” cycle events in the UK so we were keen to attempt it. Given the challenge it seemed right to raise some funds for a good cause. Matt’s mum Julia has worked with Us in a Bus for a number of years and her enthusiasm and commitment to the incredible work they do is inspiring and we want to support and help it grow.”
They have been busy training all winter inside on turbo trainers and out on the roads and have completed a couple of mountain training trips to get themselves ready for the 10,000+ feet climbs they will be making through the Brecon Beacons.
They have made a video to support their fundraising:
All our best of luck!
