Our friend Jon is taking part in his first marathon for 13 years this weekend to raise funds for us.
Jon is the owner of domestic cleaning company Merry Maids of South Surrey and is running in the Brighton Marathon after dusting off his running shoes, which he shelved back in 2003.
Jon said: “I’ve run two marathons before but work commitments took over and I had to retire my trainers. However, I’m back and excited to run and hoping to raise over £2,000 for this fantastic charity. I’m all about local engagement; I employ local people and we clean local customers’ homes on a daily basis so choosing local charity Us in a Bus was an easy decision. They do fantastic work helping transform the lives of people with profound learning disabilities and I’m pleased to be running for them.“
The Brighton Marathon takes place on Sunday 17th April with over 18,000 runners taking part.  We’ve promised to cheer him on and meet him at the finish line with BIG Smiles and a packed lunch including home made flapjack!  GOOD LUCK JON!!
