Us in a Bus is hosting the next meeting of the Intensive Interaction S.E. Regional Support Network, on Fri 17th March, 10-12, at our office at Redhill Aerodrome, Surrey.
The group meets 3 or 4 times a year. Meetings are free and open to anyone who is using Intensive Interaction to support someone (whatever age) who has a learning disability and/or complex needs including autism.
It is good to be around other people who are as interested and enthusiastic as you are about building bridges of engagement and communication. We discuss ideas, trouble-shoot barriers that arise, share perspectives etc.. This time we are making “Sensory processing issues” the core of our discussion; why might people be doing what they are doing? What clues does their behaviour give us about how they might be experiencing the world – and how can we use that information to make sure we are using Intensive Interaction in the best way for that person?
Please let us know if you are thinking of coming to the meeting – then we can make sure we’ve got enough biscuits (which might be green in honour of St Patrick’s Day). Phone us on 01737 764774 for directions or to arrange a lift from Redhill Station.
