FACE TO FACE
An exhibition of portraits by Jo Shepherd
Celebrating the lives of people with profound & multiple disabilities & complex needs
10-23 October 2016
Our friend Jo Shepherd supports the residents in her art and music sessions at High Hurlands; a care home in Hampshire that we visit every week. Jo’s other talent though is as a portrait painter, and she has captured the essence of some of those we know in oils and is exhibiting these at Charterhouse School near Godalming in Surrey.
Jo says “The over-riding aim of the exhibition is to challenge any preconceptions that may exist towards people with profound disability and to convey the positive and inspiring facets of each individual personality”
You are invited to view these energetic portraits on Saturday 15th October between 2-4pm when Jo will be there to welcome you and discuss the exhibition or at other times by appointment
Read more at her website or let Jo know if you would want to make an appointment at joshepherd.fineart@gmail.com
