We often celebrate the connections our team make with the people we support but this evening we have celebrated the connection we have made with 2 special people who have instead supported us.

Judy Denziloe and Catherine Redman have been an important part of Us in a Bus as Trustees and today stepped down from the Board to spend more time with their families.

Judy has been involved with Us in a Bus since our inception in 1990 and Catherine for over 14 years.  They have supported the Team over that time with expertise, empathy and great humour and we are sad to see them go from the Board.  They both have such valuable experience in the field, and have over the years provided advice for many of us.  We will miss their warmth and generosity and hope they enjoy their ‘retirement’.

Thank you for those kind words. It has been a joy & a pleasure to give my time as a trustee, through the downs & mostly, the ups! It has been worthwhile because I really value the work done by all at Us in a Bus for others in our society with complex needs; the people who have trouble making their voices & wishes heard. It has been a pleasure because of the warmth, fun & sense of commitment that permeates the organisation. I am now looking forward to becoming a Friend of Us in a Bus – & would urge anyone who wants to support this great charity to consider doing the same…!
