Victoria and Steve attended the Awards Ceremony for the Advancing Healthcare Awards 2017 on Friday in London after we were shortlisted for The Guardian Award for Innovation in Mental Health Services which aims to showcase healthcare professionals throughout the UK who have devised unusual or creative ways of working with people who have mental health problems.
Our application entitled ‘Wellbeing and social inclusion: the role of intensive interaction’ was one of five applications shortlisted from 30 entrants and we’re immensely proud that we got this far.
Victoria said afterwards “it is so rewarding to have the contribution of Intensive Interaction in supporting the emotional well-being of people with profound learning disabilities recognised by our peers and external bodies and congratulations to Belfast Health and Social Care Trust’s team for winning our category.”
